Jenn and Derek had the most elegant wedding at the Haiku Mill in Maui, Hawaii. All of this pre travel bans and restrictions. This is a looking back moment to one of the last big events before everything changed. Even if the change is temporary it has been of big effect.

The guest count was high, the details / decor was abundant and perfect. It truly was an epic event. Beginning to end it was full of style and surprises. I mean, they had spark canons at the end of the night! It was so super epic.

The entire event took place in haiku mill from getting ready to after party. I am super stoked to be sharing this one with you all.

I shot this event with one second shooter alongside me. That is typically how I work most of these weddings. I like doing them solo but certain ones need more than one person to capture it all. There was a lot of splitting up during the day with my second shooter so no detail would be missed.

What I enjoyed the most out of this event was that once the sun went down I had the chance to use off camera lighting, A LOT! The bride asked for night time portraits and we went after it. THAT was a refreshing change since I typically do portraits during sunset time.

I loved the confidence they had in me to capture it all which allowed for me to be free in my creativity. It really was the dream day. I cannot wait to have more of these!
